Advancing Health in Haiti
For millions of Haitians, especially those in rural communities, basic medical care remains out of reach. We believe quality health care should be available to all.
In 2020, construction of the South East Haiti Medical Facility was started in Mare Briole, Haiti. This is an area between Belle Anse to the east and Jacmel to the west where there was no medical care available to the estimated 30,000 people who live in that department. Families living Mare Briole must walk 4-5 hours to reach the nearest medical center.
For many, care comes too late.

Our Approach
At South East Haiti Medical Facility, we provide compassionate, high-quality medical care to the underserved residents of Mare Briole. Our holistic approach focuses not only on treating illness but also on promoting overall health and well-being in the community.
Responding to Crisis
Haiti faces ongoing challenges from natural disasters, civil unrest, and widespread malnutrition. SEHMF responds directly to these crises, providing urgent care, nutritional support, and hope to those most in need, while advocating for the resources required to continue our mission.
Building Hope & Infrastructure
We don’t just provide care, we build the foundation for a healthier future. With our healthcare center we create sustainable infrastructure that empowers local communities and supports our staff in delivering lifesaving care.
Community Health & Care
We bring essential healthcare services directly to a region that previously had no access to medical care. From routine check-ups to emergency treatment, our clinic serves the daily needs of over 30,000 residents, including vulnerable populations like pregnant women and children.

Building Hope from the Ground Up
Together, we completed construction of Mare Briole’s first-ever general medical clinic, transforming access to care for an entire community.
With your support, this clinic provided life-saving care to hundreds of patients in the past year.

Water is Healthcare
Together, we completed the construction of a community water cistern, addressing one of the most fundamental needs for health and survival. This project reflects our commitment to going beyond clinical care to provide the basic resources communities need to thrive.

Medication Access Expanded
Distributed medications for free to hundreds of patients with chronic conditions, supporting disease management and reducing preventable complications.
